Facciamo la pizza! Diventiamo pizzaioli anche noi!
This week, we went to a gorgeous organic farm within the walls of the city and made our very own tasty organic pizzas! It was a wonderful experience to learn the art of making pizza in an authentic, outdoor setting. Students used all ingredients stright from the garden to make their pizzas, and we enjoyed them alongside fresh juices from the orchards. Talk about farm-to-table!
L'arte della ceramica
We had the amazing opportunity to learn the medieval tecnique of pottery-making from guru Monica right in the historical center of the city. Monica gave an incredible demonstration of the centuaries-old practice inside her studio, articulating the historical significance of the art. Students had an opportunity to try their hand at making some of their own pieces which will serve as reminders of this amazing experience.
Hands-on, fun, interactive learning- what's better than that?! Buon weekend a tutti! Ciao for now!
