Czech Sketches!
Our Creative Arts Studio program is full of artists of all types! We've got photographers, designers, character artists, painters and more. A few of the students who love to draw have found inspiration in the many statues and landscapes around the city. We've spent downtime here and there in quiet spots near the dorms or out around town.
During the first week, they spent some of their free time in a cemetery in our neighborhood and produced stunning work. The area was peaceful and the statues were elaborate; some students sketched the statues while others used watercolors to paint the colorful landscape surrounding the graveyard.
This morning, a group of us visited Charles Bridge before breakfast, when crowds were much more manageable and we could catch a clear view of the bridge and castle. Students captured plenty of beautiful photos, and again a few used the time to sketch.
We are constantly impressed by the artistic ability of the students on this trip! It has been such an honor to witness their work in the making.
