Nominate a Deserving Student!
Eligible educators can recognize a deserving student by nominating them for a College First Year Abroad grant, where they will receive a semester of college for only $4,040! That's half off the already unbeatable price of $8,080 in honor of CIEE's 80th anniversary. All students nominated will receive a $4,040 grant that will be applied to their program cost for ANY Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 College First Year Abroad program. One nomination accepted per school. Eligible high schools include those that received a grant award at the 2026 CIEE High School Study Abroad Conference. The College First Year Abroad $4,040 grant is a monetary award of $4,040 designed to help high school students participate in a life changing CIEE College First Year Abroad program.
Any teacher or administrator at an eligible high school can nominate a student. Eligible high schools include those that received a grant award at the 2026 CIEE High School Study Abroad Conference. If you're unsure if you're eligible for this grant, please email your CIEE contact or hsabroad@ciee.org.
You can nominate any of your students, past or present, as long as they meet the eligibility requirements for a College First Year Abroad program. They also need to be excited about studying abroad and eager to see the world! Talk to the students you have in mind before nominating them to make sure they are on board and available to travel during Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 and that they meet the eligibility requirements for a College First Year Abroad program. Once nominated, it’ll be the student’s responsibility to complete a CIEE application. The grant will be automatically applied to the cost of their program.

The $4,040 grant is applicable to CIEE's Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 College First Year Abroad programs in any location.
