Communication & Programs Internship - The Shine Foundation

Company overview

The Shine Foundation ("Shine") is a 501c3 nonprofit based in New York City, on a mission to empower survivors of domestic violence. Seven out of eight survivors return to their abusers, mostly due to financial pressure; we are here to change that. Working in emergency shelters throughout NYC, we provide free financial education to address the day-to-day needs of survivors. Our tips and tools help survivors build credit, create savings, and search for employment so they can get back on their feet and leave the abuse for good.
